Scott, who was born on September 22, 1983, realized that he wanted to help people. His professional path led him into property management, where he was most content while interacting with HOA communities in his beloved mountains. For Scott, Colorado has always seemed like home because of its breathtaking landscapes. A particular spot in Scott’s heart belonged to the mountains and backcountry streams. Taking solace in the wonders of nature, he wandered along the glistening waterways while clutching a fly rod.

A Complicated Bond
Snowboarding down narrow tree courses in knee-deep powder gave him a surge of adrenaline and excitement that typified his spirit of adventure. Scott was in love in Florida, where he loved the beach and saltwater fishing, when he wasn’t in the mountains. His admiration for the ocean’s vastness was a reflection of his unbounded creative energy. Scott’s artwork, guitar playing, and singing all demonstrated his creative ability, leaving a legacy of his boundless creativity.

A Notable Presence of Comfort and Humor
A towering figure that made people laugh and feel comforted was Scott Van Cleave. He grinned lovingly and had piercing blue eyes. His sincerity and infectious optimism created lifelong relationships with friends, family, and anybody he was lucky enough to meet. Scott is survived by his parents, Mark and Leslie Van Cleave; sister and brother-in-law, Alisha and Neal Campbell; grandmother; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and a close-knit group of friends who will always hold a special place in his heart.

Funeral Rituals
A memorial service celebrating Scott’s life will take place at Mission Hills Church, 620 Southpark Dr., Littleton, CO 80120, on February 25, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. In remembrance of Scott’s love of the natural world and aesthetics, we accept flowers. Instead of flowers, Mission Hills Church may accept memorial donations in remembrance of Scott’s commitment to his community and faith.
