Carter Remains Texas Rangers’ No. 1 Prospect

By the most current re-rankings of the top 10 prospects in each organization by Baseball America, Wyatt Langford is the second-best prospect in the Texas Rangers organization. Because Evan Carter has not yet played enough games to fall out of the top spot in the rankings, he is the only reason he is not now ranked first. Even though he participated in the final three weeks of the regular season and was an integral part of the Rangers’ journey to their first World Series triumph, Carter will enter the 2024 season as the organization’s top prospect. Moreover, it is anticipated that he will be the Rangers’ starting left fielder in the year 2024.

Once Carter, who played for Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock last year and had a batting average of.288 with 13 home runs, 67 RBI, 79 runs, 81 walks, and 26 stolen bases, plays enough to move out of the rankings, Langford will move up to their current position as the best team in the league. However, given the remarkable beginning to his professional career in the minor leagues over the summer of 2018, it is not out of the question that Langford may be included on the Rangers’ Opening Day roster.

Langford, who was playing for Florida and was selected fourth overall in July, was a batter.360 in 44 games, with 10 home runs, 30 RBI, 36 runs, 36 walks, and 12 stolen bases. He also stole and stole 12 bases. He made it through the system with lightning speed and made it to Triple-A Round Rock. Among the Rangers’ minor league players, he is the most advanced hitter.
